Can I Serve Fish Pieces With Meat To My Dog?

Fish contains lean protein and Omega 3 fatty acids. They also have a lot of vitamins and minerals which are good for your dog’s health.

So you can serve fish to your dog, along with meat too. However,  keep the following things into consideration:

1. Do not feed it in high quantity

This is because it has phosphorus. Thus, small quantities should be fed not more than twice a week. For example, for an Indie of thousand cal, you can feed 40 gm fish.

2. Feed them cooked fish only 

At times, raw fish can also be fed but even in that case, your dog is at risk of being exposed to fish-borne parasites.

3. It should be considered as a treat or sprinkler

Fish should not be given as a whole meal, but rather as a treat that you reward your dog with once or twice a week.
