Are you and your dog ready for a brain-stimulating game that’s sure to keep your dog and the rest of the family entertained while you’re at home? It's fun but also full on the training aspect - specially nose work.
In this game, you’ll place a treat or toy underneath 1 of 3 overturned cups and let your dog guess which cup has the treat or toy. When your dog guesses correctly, they get a treat!
Here’s how you can play:
- Get three identical cups, line them up in a row and hide a treat/toy under one of them.
- Let your dog watch you put the treat underneath a cup so they can see there will be a reward for guessing correctly.
- Then mix the cups up — the more challenging you want to make it, the more quickly you move the cups - you can also increase the number of cups.
- Let your dog select the right cup with their nose or paw and lift the cup up. If they're right, they win the treat!
If they are not right, mix the cups once more and try again.
Extra Tip: To start with, place treats under all three cups before reducing this down to two and then one. For an extra challenge, don’t lift the cup up. Let your dog figure out how to knock it over to get the treat.
