Dog friendly game: Sit Command
Step 1: Get your dog’s attention and show your dog that you have a treat in your hand

Looking to teach your dog a command when you're free? sploot got you!
"Sit" is a basic dog training command that every dog should know. It is a way to help your dog settle a little bit in one place and focus. The training can also help lay the groundwork for "stay".
Here's how you can teach:
- Show the Treat: Get your dog’s attention and show your dog that you have a treat in your hand.
- Hold the treat just above your dog’s nose (not too high or your dog might jump). This will make your dog sit.
- Repeat these steps until your dog sits at the sight of the treat above its nose.
- Next, add the cue word: Say your dog’s name followed by the word “sit”.
Have fun teaching, and tell us if your dog learnt it!
