Dog-Friendly Keema Pav

For the Keema:

1) 1 cup ground chicken or turkey (ensure it's lean and free from bones)

2) 1/2 cup finely chopped carrots

3) 1/2 cup finely chopped green beans

4) 1 tablespoon coconut oil

5) For the Millet Pav (Bread):

1) 1 cup millet flour (like ragi or jowar)

2) 1 teaspoon baking powder (ensure it's aluminum-free)

3) 1/2 cup plain yogurt (ensure it's free from sweeteners and artificial flavors)

4) Water (as needed)

1) Cook the Keema:

  • Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add the ground chicken or turkey and cook thoroughly until no pink remains.
  • Stir in the chopped carrots and green beans, cooking until they are soft but not mushy.
  • Ensure the mixture is cooked plainly, with no added spices, salt, or onion/garlic.

2) Make the Millet Pav:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the millet flour and baking powder.
  • Add the yogurt and mix well. Gradually add water until the dough is soft and pliable.
  • Shape the dough into small buns and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the buns are firm and slightly golden.

3) Assemble and Serve:

  • Allow the keema and millet pav to cool completely.
  • Serve a small portion of the keema with a piece of millet pav to your dog.
  • You can break the pav into smaller pieces and mix with the keema for your dog’s convenience.
