Dog-Friendly Keema Pav
For the Keema:
Ingredients:
1) 1 cup ground chicken or turkey (ensure it's lean and free from bones)
2) 1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
3) 1/2 cup finely chopped green beans
4) 1 tablespoon coconut oil
5) For the Millet Pav (Bread):
Ingredients:
1) 1 cup millet flour (like ragi or jowar)
2) 1 teaspoon baking powder (ensure it's aluminum-free)
3) 1/2 cup plain yogurt (ensure it's free from sweeteners and artificial flavors)
4) Water (as needed)
Instructions:
1) Cook the Keema:
- Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the ground chicken or turkey and cook thoroughly until no pink remains.
- Stir in the chopped carrots and green beans, cooking until they are soft but not mushy.
- Ensure the mixture is cooked plainly, with no added spices, salt, or onion/garlic.
2) Make the Millet Pav:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the millet flour and baking powder.
- Add the yogurt and mix well. Gradually add water until the dough is soft and pliable.
- Shape the dough into small buns and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the buns are firm and slightly golden.
3) Assemble and Serve:
- Allow the keema and millet pav to cool completely.
- Serve a small portion of the keema with a piece of millet pav to your dog.
- You can break the pav into smaller pieces and mix with the keema for your dog’s convenience.
