Dog-Friendly Millet Flour Kachori
Ingredients:
1) 1 cup millet flour (like ragi or jowar)
2) 1/4 cup boiled and mashed sweet potato
3) 1/4 cup boiled and mashed green peas
4) Coconut oil (for the dough and cooking)
Instructions:
1) Prepare the Dough:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the millet flour with a small amount of coconut oil. Gradually add water and knead to form a firm dough. Let it rest for about 20-30 minutes.
2) Prepare the Filling:
- Mix the boiled and mashed sweet potato and green peas in another bowl. Ensure the mixture is plain, without any spices, salt, or sugar.
3) Assemble the Kachoris:
- Divide the dough into small, equal-sized balls.
- Roll each ball into a small circle, place a small amount of the sweet potato and pea filling in the center, and then gather the edges to seal it.
- Gently flatten the sealed ball to form the shape of a kachori.
4) Cook the Kachoris:
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with coconut oil.
- Cook the kachoris on a low to medium flame until they turn golden brown on both sides, flipping occasionally for even cooking.
5) Cooling and Serving:
- Allow the kachoris to cool completely before serving them to your dog.
