Dog-Friendly Uttapam
Ingredients:
1) 1 cup rice flour
2) 1/4 cup plain yogurt (ensure it's free from sweeteners and artificial flavors)
3) Water (as needed)
4) 1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
5) 1/2 cup finely chopped bell peppers (ensure to remove seeds)
6) Coconut oil (for greasing the pan)
Instructions:
1) Prepare the Batter:
- In a bowl, mix the rice flour and yogurt.
- Gradually add water and whisk until the batter reaches a pourable consistency, similar to pancake batter. It should be thick but spreadable.
2) Add Vegetables:
- Stir in the finely chopped carrots and bell peppers into the batter.
3) Cook the Uttapam:
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with a bit of coconut oil.
- Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan and spread it gently to form a thick pancake.
- Cook on medium heat until the edges start lifting from the pan and the bottom is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Flip the uttapam and cook the other side for an additional 2-3 minutes.
4) Serve Cool:
- Allow the uttapam to cool down completely before serving it to your dog.
